Salamander Energy plc, the Asia focussed independent oil and gas exploration and production company, announces that following notification from the current gas buyer, production at the Kambuna field in North Sumatra, Indonesia, has been temporarily suspended due to a fault with the buyer’s turbines at its Belawan Power Plant.
Production from the field will remain shut down whilst the buyer conducts the necessary work to its turbines. Under the terms of the gas sales agreement, there is a maintenance allowance of up to two weeks.
