Fraudulent job offers

Recruitment Fraud

Salamander Energy PLC has been made aware of emails circulating containing ‘job offers’ purporting to come from Salamander. We believe that the intention of these fraudulent offers may be to obtain personal information, or sums of money from those targeted. Any such communication has absolutely no connection with Salamander.

Salamander does not ask candidates to make any up-front payment as part of their recruitment and selection process. Salamander will only directly offer you a role after a formal recruitment process has been followed.

The following may indicate that you are the target of fraudulent recruitment:

  • The e-mail communication does not end with a '@salamander-energy.com' e-mail address.
  • The e-mail or subsequent correspondence requests money transfers or personal data.

If you are unsure whether a job advert or apparent job offer is genuine or not, please e-mail [email protected] and we will confirm whether or not the communication is legitimate.

If you have been the victim of recruitment fraud or have received a fraudulent communication, we advise you to report the incident to the police or to Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting centre.
