Nick Cooper

Prior to founding Salamander Energy, Nick held the position of Vice President in the Oil & Gas team at Goldman Sachs. During his five years with the investment bank, Nick spent two years in Singapore, advising on numerous transactions in the sector in Southeast Asia. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Nick spent two years with the management consultancy Booz-Allen & Hamilton, advising on the giant Dolphin Gas project in the UAE.
A geophysicist by background, Nick spent much of his early career in the international upstream sector with BG and Amoco in such locations as the North Sea, Pakistan and the Middle East. He holds a BSc in Geophysical Studies, a PhD in Exploration Geophysics and an MBA from INSEAD.
