Salamander Energy is an Asia-focused independent exploration and production company with 21 licences across Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Lao PDR and the Philippines.
Since its formation in 2005, the company has consistently grown both, 2P reserves and production year on year. Salamander entered 2009 producing in the region of 11,500 boepd and expects Daily production to average c. 14,000 boepd. By the end of 2009, Salamander will operate over 60% of its production.
Salamander has developed strong operating credentials across all areas of the E&P life cycle. The Bualuang oil field (Gulf of Thailand) development was completed and the field successfully brought on-stream in August 2008 providing the company with its first operated production. The Kambuna gas-condensate field was successfully brought onstream in August 2009. A number of seismic surveys have been completed in 2008/09 as part of the preparation process for an extensive E&A drilling programme from 2010.
